Obituary

Arlene R. Dobis, age 84, married 60 years to her beloved husband, Richard; loving mother of Marc (Ramona) and Andrea Dobis; cherished grandmother of Annette Santana, and Alex (Judy) Feliciano; treasured great grandmother of Damaris, Xzavier, William and Isabella. Arlene grew up a child prodigy on classical piano and later developed her beautiful operatic voice. Graveside service Friday 10:00 AM at Shalom Memorial Park, 1700 W Rand Road, Arlington Heights. We heard this morning of the passing of long time Packards of Chicagoland member and dear friend Arlene Dobis. We first met Arlene and Dick in the early 1970s through our mutual membership in the Packard Club. Dick and Arlene were “movers and shakers” and very involved in the Club’s activities. They held offices in the Club and also were involved in hosting and organizing several National Meets held during those days.

No one who ever met Arlene could ever forget her. She had a killer smile, sparking eyes, and a personality that was “bigger than life”. She also had a kind heart and a wonderful sense of humor. She embraced life to the fullest and was quick to attract those around her with her zest for each new experience. We will treasure the memories of Arlene and her musical gifts … playing the piano and singing for us.

Our condolences go to her husband Dick, their children and families.
